For this little bouquet, you will need:
Flowers with small fabric petals(a bunch of about 8 flower heads will do)
Leafy vine or swag for the leaves
Small glass container(candle holder)
Satiny
material(I used gold)-1/2 yard is plenty
Corsage
pins
Caramel kisses(pink foil!)
Cherry kisses(red foil!)
Small piece of floral foam
Curling
ribbon
Cut your floral foam to fit inside your glass container-make it a
little smaller, so that it does not touch the edges when you insert it. Wrap the foam in your satin material, securing
the fabric with corsage pins. **You may need to insert the side pin(s) at a slant so they don't poke out through the
other side.**
Add a small amount of cherry kisses candy to your container, then
add your covered foam block in the middle, and so that it sticks out of the top a little bit. Finish filling the container
around the foam block, until each side is filled. Remove a few leaves from your vine or swag, and insert a corsage pin
through the middle of the plastic ring(at the base of leaves), and attach them near the rim of the glass container.
Remove your flower heads from the wire stems, and then remove the plastic
pieces that hold the flowers together. You will only need the fabric petals.
Set your caramel kisses in the center of the petals, then drive a corsage
pin through the middles, coming out the bottom, and attaching all around the part of the foam block that sticks out.
Don't overdo the pushing into the foam block! Remember that your
candies are soft middles, and they will collapse if you push too hard! :)
You can leave the bouquet as is, and it is finished. Or, if you
are giving as a gift, you can add curling ribbon to the top, so that it cascades over the top. Just tie several pieces
of long strands of ribbon together in the center, curl with scissors, and use a corsage pin to secure the knot to the foam
at the top of the arrangement. Finished arrangement is shown at the top of this page.
