A thought came to me while seeing videos of rescued dogs, and think you will see how dogs can
teach us a thing or two.
I hope you will enjoy each of the videos, and you may need a box of tissues. Seriously.
These videos are all from the same person. I am amazed and completely
touched by the love and patience this man and his wife, Eldad and Audrey Hagar, put into rescuing animals. If you
would like to visit their website, and donate to a worthy cause, I know they will appreciate your help. http://www.hopeforpaws.org/
Although I am using dogs to make a spiritual point, I do
also believe in being kind and caring for animals. The Bible teaches that the righteous care for the needs of their
animals. These creatures were made by God-they deserve to be cared for and loved. Personally, I am glad God has given us furbabies to love!
This video is over a year old, and is asking for help.
As you will see, the need was met. But the video itself is SO worth watching.
Sometimes we may see a person in their worst
condition, but weren't we once in need of cleansing too? Aren't you glad that someone didn't just pass you
by when you needed help, and took the time to care-took the time to help you, when you couldn't help yourself? Maybe
picked you up, when the world threw you away, when you didn't have much to offer? Aren't you thankful that someone believed
in what you could be, and didn't cast you aside because of what they saw at the moment?
This next video is of the same dog.
A wagging tail, little puppy kisses, running, jumping
and playing---all signs of a happy, rescued creature. Because someone cared, she can now see, and life has become worth
living for her! Is not a human being's soul worth your compassion and care?
Next: See what a loving touch can do?
Some appear to be so mean because they've been hurt for so long.
And some are just so scared to trust, because they
too, have been hurt.
Not only are the needs of these dogs evident,
but their pure gratitude for being loved and rescued shines through.
Reach out, show someone
you care. Introduce him/her to Jesus-the Master who loves them and wants to make them whole.
If
God has filled you with His Spirit, and you've been washed clean, and have been made whole, remember to show your gratitude.
Don't forget to be thankful, and to give a loving touch to another needy soul.
