Don't Have Enough Time? Are You Sure???

Time-those seconds, minutes and hours we never have enough of.
If you are like me, you've thought that, if you only had a few more hours in the day, you could accomplish so much more.  You may think, "I'd have more time to reach my goals, to pray more, to read more.  I'd spend more time with my kids."
I'm not sure why I did it, but I sat down and decided to take a closer look at time.
This is leap year, so we have 366 days.
That equals 8,784 hours for the year of 2012.
Let's talk about time used by the "average" person.
If we sleep 8 hours a night, that equals 2,928 hours of sleep for 2012.
If we work 40 hours a week for 50 weeks (omitting 2 weeks for vacation), that equals 2000 hours for 2012.
8,784 hours in 2012
2,928 of those hours sleeping
2,000 of those hours working
-----------------------------------
3,856 hours are what we have left
Three thousand, eight hundred and fifty six hours.
What will you do with your time?
Surely with 3,856 hours, give or take a few, we can do more with our families.  Surely we can find the time to talk to God, and to learn His Word!  Surely we can spare a few moments to help someone whose health doesn't allow them to help themselves.  We can all squeeze in a few minutes to exercise!
The trick, I think, is to get out of our comfort zone and make ourselves do things, until it becomes a way of life.
Will 2012 be different for you, than 2011?
I know it will be for me!
