Flowers add such a lovely touch to a dining room table, don't they?
When making your own, you can choose any color scheme and
any type of flowers you like!
This is the easiest way to
make a bouquet, and how I made this particular bouquet:
1.
Pick a lovely vase for your flowers-choose one that is about 12" tall. My vase is a vintage Haeger pitcher, found
at a thrift store.
2. Decide on your color theme,
and head to your local floral/craft store.
3.
Find a couple of silk bouquets in at least one of your colors, and hold them in one hand.
4. Find a few tall silk flowers and other flowers that are your colors. Hold them all together and see
how they look.
5. Play with the flowers in
your hand until the bouquet is the fullness you want, along with the look you want.
6. When you get home, do the same thing with your choices, and put them in the vase. Adjust what you
need to by hand.
And there is your lovely centerpiece!
Mind has no floral foam, just a few bouquets and some loose
stemmed silk flowers.
The sky is the limit on what
you can do!
